Initial Appointment

90 minutes

At your first appointment we will do an overall health inventory and define your health goals. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine looks at the body and mind holistically.  This means everything that is happening physically and emotionally helps us to paint a proper diagnostic picture.  Next, a physical exam will be conducted addressing any problem areas of your body.  Your pulse will be taken and your tongue examined to confirm our diagnosis based on Classical Chinese Medical Diagnosis. Together we will determine a treatment plan according to your individual needs.  The remaining time will be devoted to treatment.  Treatment includes Acupuncture and may also include bodywork, stretching, cupping, heat therapy, nutritional counseling, herbal therapy prescriptions, and therapeutic exercises.

Followup Appointment

60-70 minutes

At your followup appointment we will spend 10-15 minutes doing an intake and getting updates on the progress of current conditions while addressing any new issues.  A treatment that includes Acupuncture and any other therapies deemed important to your condition will be applied.  These may include bodywork, cupping, heat therapy, exercises, nutritional counseling, and herbal medicine prescriptions.  Herbal medicines are not covered in the treatment cost and usually run between $10-$40.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment for any reason please do so at least 24 hours in advance.  As my practice is quite busy, this gives other patients a chance to take your place.  Missed appointments not cancelled at least 24 hours prior will incur the price of a regular visit unless it is a true emergency.  Thank you for your understanding.
